Hotchkiss High School Sailing

The Club 420 is a two-person dinghy commonly used for high school and College racing. I skipper on the C420, unlike 29ers meaning that I am responsible for stirring the boat and main sail trim. The C420 has jib cleats for the jib sheet and is typically heavier than the FJs because they are wider.

The FJ or Flying Junior boat is a two-person dinghy commonly used for high school and College racing. Similarly to the C420, I skipper the boat which means I am responsible for stirring the boat and main sail trim. The biggest difference between FJs and C420s is that FJs are a lighter boat than C420 due to their narrow shape, have a bigger jib, and have blocks for the jib sheets instead of cleats for the C420.
